Return 2 Eden

Only 15 of these individually lathe cut records were made and we're keeping 4 of them for ourselves. Being individually cut in such small numbers, these are understandably more expensive than a regular vinyl pressing, hence the steeper price tag - nonetheless, we are selling at a loss to keep it somewhat close to reasonable.

about

A follow-up to our 1986 song 'Holding Out For Eden'. Reflections on a brief time in three people's lives 30+ years ago and where they are today.

The narrator in the movie 'Freud: A Secret Passion' (a movie we have long pilfered for vox tapes) poses a question at the beginning of the song that has been the subject of much conjecture.

lyrics

Could there be a psychic mechanism which defends the mind against intolerable memories, as lymph glands do the body against infection? A mechanism of repression which banishes such memories to the sub-conscious and lock the door ...

Back here again
On well ploughed ground

(I guess you found, I guess you found your Eden. I hope you like, I hope you like that Eden)

We three were bad company
What had to give, gave

(I guess you found, I guess you found your Eden. I hope you like, I hope you like this Eden)

But even with years gone
I can't believe that your still with him

(I guess you found, I guess you found your Eden. I hope you like, I hope you like this Eden)
