Coming Ebbing Tide

Only 15 of these individually lathe cut records were made and we're keeping 4 of them for ourselves. Being individually cut in such small numbers, these are understandably more expensive than a regular vinyl pressing, hence the steeper price tag - nonetheless, we are selling at a loss to keep it somewhat close to reasonable.

about

Perhaps it's about the fog we live under where our dreams are more real than our waking hours. Old friends Freud and Breur (as portrayed in 'Freud: A Secret Passion') reappear to sledgehammer the whole interpretation of dreams vibe of the thing.

lyrics

Freud: Will he recover?
Breur: Matter of weeks or days. Will you like to give him any message?
Freud: No

Not with the sleight of hand
Nor the will to succeed
A look of disbelief
Is that what you said?

I don't believe we've met
Your skin's laid on the bed
A luckless egret on fire
Riding

The coming tide
At the start of the day
To an onerous shore
Half in our sleep

Breur: My life has been a sham. I don't know who I am. It is not I who live my life, but another. A creation of my vanity.

Inside the well of the night
The ground cracks underfoot
I feel I'm too far gone
I don't believe what was said

There's a carnival ride
Long lines they wait outside
No moon with the stars
As we ride

The ebbing tide
At the end of the day
Back out to sea
Back in our dreams
