    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

The 12" album pressed back in 1990. Available as released i.e. in a handmade jacket with cover photo and accompanying insert. We are now down to stock that hasn't been that well kept over the years, so even though the records haven't been played beyond a quick check of their quality, there are slight imperfections and some very, very minor warping that you should keep in mind before purchasing. To compensate, there has been a price drop, but rest assured the records will still play perfectly well.

about

This is the extended digital download version of the 1990 12" vinyl release of 'The Dog's Breakfast' by He Dark Age. It was the second full length recording by the band after 1986's Ecce Homo cassette only release.

The masters of this record were long ago lost, so the versions here are simply rips from the LP itself done by someone, somewhere, sometime. As a result, the quality is distinctly lo-fi (it comes complete with pops and crackles). So, if you want to hear a better quality version of the album, you'll need to purchase the vinyl.

The digital version of the album does at least come with bonus items being demos of many of the songs and other songs recorded at the time that did not make it onto the album. The later songs are merely cassette rips so, once again, the quality isn't the greatest.

The album itself was mostly recorded in 1989 at home on a Fostex 8 track quarter inch multitrack recorder. There was no proper mastering of the mixdowns, so the record was very nearly not pressed because of problems at the pressing plant.
